I feel very honored to have been selected to be a part of, this time, Alpha Chi. I have to make it clear, though, that I have so many people that have helped me along the way and, without them, none of such accomplishments would have been possible: first and foremost, our Lord God, but also my special wife Tati, my wonderful professors and awesome colleagues in the BMIN Program at HU, and my church family. Thank you all! 😊👍
This Fall semester, Maikon will be taking four classes: Critical Issues in OT and NT, History of Missions, World Literature II (since 1500), and Western Civilization II (since 1500). It will be a lighter load because baby Joanna will be here in early November.
Today Maikon has started his senior year at Harding University, a journey that began three years ago. He says: “It’s been an amazing experience and I am so excited for these last two semesters ahead.” Our lives and future are in God’s hands! 🙏😊
We made it to Lithuania. Our Global Outreach team from Harding University will be here for two weeks as we will be encouraging the congregation in Vilnius and working at a kids camp! We’re excited to serve the Lord in this beautiful country! 😊
Maikon has been taking his Bible electives in Missions pretty much since he started at Harding in 2016. Recent changes in the BMIN Program have allowed students to switch Bible majors if they so wish to. Maikon has taken advantage of this and switched to a BA in Bible and Missions.
Today Maikon attended Harding University’s Preachers Conference. The theme was “Preaching (The Rest Of) Revelation and the speakers were Dr. Kevin Youngblood and Dr. Devin Swindle.
On Friday and Saturday (Jan 25 and 26) we attended two Missions Advisory meetings at Harding University. Tati and I got to make good and valuable contacts for possible future supporters. One of these contacts was brother Donald Collins from Hot Springs Village, AR. He attended the event and wanted to meet us and learn more about our plans for South Florida.
In this upcoming semester, Maikon will be taking 5 classes (Christian Teaching, Practicum in Missions, Chronicles, Elementary Statistics, and Music Appreciation). Tati will be taking Evangelism and Church Planting, and will also be auditing Maikon’s mission class. We’re excited for our classes and look forward to a lot more learning! 😊
Today we both took our final last exams for the fall 2018 semester! We have really enjoyed our classes and know that we have learned a lot these past few months. 😊
